Time to say goodbye
I've enjoyed running this site for the past few years, but it was always meant to be a stop-gap site while Griffin's official site underwent renovations. Those renovations are now complete, and the new, improved, official Griffin Dunne site is ready to go. This site will remain on the web for a time to point the way to the new site, and then will quietly fade away. What won't fade, though, is my admiration for Griffin's work. Big News!
Griffin Dunne is taking another chance on love. The handsome actor and director just asked girlfriend Kelly Monks to marry him, in a scene so sweetly romantic he probably wouldn't put it in one of his movies.
"We were on the beach at sunset," Dunne said. "It had been on my mind, but the actual proposal was spontaneous. I came up with a ring a couple of days ago."
Monks, a former dancer, is a clothing designer who's involved in the new boutique Jeminola. The couple met in a yoga class.
Was Dunne, who has a daughter by Carey Lowell, inspired to pop the question after his ex married Richard Gere last year?

Dominick Dunne has canceled some appearances because he can't talk about Gary Condit and the former congressman's million slander suit against him. But he's expected to attend Thursday's VIP screening of the Court TV documentary "Guilty Pleasure: The Extraordinary World of Dominick Dunne." He'll be joined by his son Griffin, Larry King, Graydon Carter, producer David Brown, Johnnie Cochran and Mark Fuhrman at the Magno screening room on Seventh Avenue. The rest of us will have to wait till it airs in mid-May

Sundance Film Release According to the New York Post, "Robert Downey Jr. heads a cast that includes Michael Keaton, Griffin Dunne and Bebe Neuwirth in Michael Hoffman's "Game 6," about a playwright who skips his own opening night to watch the amazing game of the title in the 1986 Mets-Red Sox World Series." The film will be premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
Just Released Griffin's 1985 film After Hours, directed by Martin Scorsese, has been released on DVD.
